Arts Education

In the arts and culture capital of the world, we should be able to provide an outstanding arts education to all of our city’s public school students. The arts reach students who may not otherwise be engaged in school and uniquely bridges a broad spectrum of learning styles. Oftentimes, students learning to speak English and children with special needs  become high achievers in arts-rich settings. The arts also equip all students with a competitive edge. A recent Conference Board report shows that 74% of employers believe that creativity is increasingly important in the American workplace.
